PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain satisfactory high frequency characteristics by making the signal transmission distance between an optical transmitter 3 and a driving circuit 4 shortest. SOLUTION: A substrate 2, the optical transmitter 3, and the driving circuit 4 for driving the optical transmitter are provided, and terminals 34a and 34b provided on the optical transmitter 3 are connected to one ends of via conductors 21 inserted through holes formed in the substrate 2, and terminals 44a and 44b provided on the driving circuit 4 are connected to the other ends of the via conductors.
