<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system which can easily and speedily select matching scenario data and reproduce proper background video when no scenario data of an original is set for a musical piece to be played as karaoke. <P>SOLUTION: The system is provided with: a means of managing a scenario database in which scenario data consisting of a permutation of video section identifiers for specifying pieces of section video to be reproduced during the karaoke playing periods of one song in order are made to correspond to respective musical pieces; an original scenario retrieving means of providing scenario data for background video reproduction processing when the data are registered; an alternative scenario selecting means which selects one piece of scenario data made to correspond to another musical piece whose specified classification property is common to that of one musical piece to be played as karaoke from the database and provides it for the background video reproduction processing; and a scenario registering means which registers the alternative scenario data in the scenario database while making it correspond to the musical piece when a musical piece is played as karaoke and scenario data for the musical piece to be played as karaoke is not registered in the database. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
