PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electronic device displaying in an easy-to-see form large numbers, 1,000 or higher with three-figure displaying segments for numerical value. SOLUTION: An arithmetic circuit 101 (Figure 1) displays the number of remaining frames N by means of the segments 27 for the numerical value when the number of remaining frames N recordable with respect to a memory card is lower than 1,000 and the display figures, three figures, of the segments 27 for the numerical value of a display 12 (Figure 1) are sufficient. Meanwhile, the arithmetic and logic unit 101 (Figure 1) lights up and displays segments 25 for figure display and a segment 26 for a decimal point display as auxiliary display elements and calculates N/1,000 to display up to one decimal place by means of the segment 27 for the numerical value when the number of remaining frames N is 1,000 or higher and display figures exceed the display figures, three figures, of the segments 27 for the numerical value of the display 12 (Figure 1). Thus, '1.7K' is displayed on the display 12 (Figure 1) when the number of remaining frames N is any one of 1,700≤N<1,800, for example. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
