The electric heater (1) has at least one heating device (3) and at least one power device (5) in contact with the heating device(s) via at least one first and second contact arrangement (6,7) of a contact device (8). The contact device is designed so that a permanent connection can be made between the first and second contact arrangements. The connection can be made at the contact device in a shape -locking and/or rigid manner.
