<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the inertia quantity of an engine in the state where the test object engine is connected to a dynamo of an engine test device, concerning an engine inertia measuring method for measuring the inertia quantity of the engine. <P>SOLUTION: While keeping a slot opening at a prescribed opening, the engine is accelerated and decelerated with accelerations having the mutually same absolute values, and simultaneously the characteristics of the engine and the dynamo are measured during acceleration and deceleration, and the inertia quantity of the engine is determined based on measured characteristic values at the acceleration time and at the deceleration time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
