PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head wearing type display device which does not hurt the nose and the forehead, and which hardly slips off from the face, does not provide uncomfortable feelings because a connection line to an external video device comes into a contact with the arm and the face and is not disconnected when the user moves the arm to pull the connection line. SOLUTION: This head wearing type display device is characterized in that it is provided with a display optical device 110, a wearing tool 120 for holding the display optical device 110 toward the face and wearing the display optical device 110 on the head of the user, and a substrate housing part 150 being a substrate housing part 150 housing a driving circuit for driving the display optical device and held on the back of the head of the wearing part. The wearing tool 120 is further provided with behind-the-ear parts for wearing the wearing tool on the ears, and headphones 140 having a function for firmly fixing the wearing tool on the head of the user by pressing the wearing tool over from the ears.
