PURPOSE:To reduce the residual stress at the innermost S-type crossing by forming a double pancake after housing a superconducting wire in a conduit which is formed in the crossing type for the crossing conductor between the double pancakes and is heat-treated for removing stress. CONSTITUTION:A channel bar 6a and a lid 6b which are the parts of a conduit 2 for the innermost crossing 6 of a double pancake coil are previously finished (against a winding diameter) in an S-type and then are heat-treated for removing residual stress. Then, a superconducting strand 1 is housed in the channel bar 6a, an S-type crossing 6 is manufactured by welding the lid 6b and the conduits 2 are connected in sequence to the both sides of the S-type crossing 6. This enables applying the stress only by electromagnetic force at the time of the operation of the coil and a highly reliable superconducting coil which has a margin for strength can be made. |
