<p>An opaque pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) sheet or tape article, which comprises an anti-static coating on one side of a polymeric base film and an adhesive coating on the other side of the base film which can be opaque or transparent. If the base film is transparent, an opaque adhesive is coated onto the film to make it opaque. However, a clear adhesive can be coated onto the base film to make an opaque pressure sensitive adhesive tape if the base film itself is opaque. The total thickness of the pressure sensitive tape ranges from about 0.4 mil to about 1.8 mil with a base film thickness no greater than about 1.4 mil. The pressure sensitive tape should have an opacity of greater than or equal to about 70%. The resistivity of the prepared sheet having an anti-static coating layer thereon should not be larger than about 10<12> OMEGA /SQ.</p> |
