PURPOSE:To control plural home electric appliances, etc., with one remote control transmitter by receiving a light signal, storing this as internal data, converting the data to the light signal for outputting. CONSTITUTION:In a receiving condition, while a switch on a keyboard 108 to assign a light signal 101 is pushed when the light signal 101 from a remote control transmitter is inputted, the signal converted to an electric signal by a photodetecting element 102 is demodulated with a demodulating circuit 104 and converted to parallel data 120. On the other hand, for an electric signal 117, the period is measured and a counting value 119 is obtained by a counter 107 based upon the reference clock. The switch designates the address corresponding to one to one, and here stores the parallel data 120 and the counting value 119. When the corresponding switch is pushed in the transmitting condition, the same signal as the light signal 101 earlier inputted is outputted.
