SILVER HALIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material excellent in stain and in storage stability with age and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: In the silver halide photographic sensitive material having at least one photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer on a support, the silver halide emulsion layer has been spectrally sensitized with a sensitizing dye which is dissolved in water by≥0.1 wt.% in such a way that the layer has the sensitivity maximum in a wavelength region of≥600 nm and a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic mercapto compound having a hydrophilic group is contained in the silver halide emulsion layer in combination with a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic mercapto compound having no hydrophilic group.
