PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal compressor 10 in which an efficiency is prevented from being lowered, even if a flow is reduced. SOLUTION: Fluid is axially sucked by a rotating impeller 2 and, with the turning velocity of the fluid reduced by vanes 6, the fluid is discharged to a radial outside diffuser flow passage 3. When the flow of the sucked fluid is reduced, small vanes 7 are projected to flow the fluid discharged from the outer periphery of the impeller 2 along the vanes 6. By this, the peeling of the fluid is prevented from occurring on the upstream side of the vanes 6 due to the displacement of angle. Thus, the centrifugal compressor 10 which preventing the efficiency from being lowered even if the flow is reduced is provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
