PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an acylsulfonamide in good yield. SOLUTION: The method for producing the acylsulfonamide represented by R<SP>1</SP>-CONHSO<SB>2</SB>-R<SP>2</SP>[wherein, X denotes a chlorine atom, a bromine atom, an iodine atom, an -OCO-OR<SP>3</SP>or an -OCO-R<SP>3</SP>; R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>denote each independently an alkyl which may be substituted, an aryl which may be substituted or a heteroaryl which may be substituted; and R<SP>3</SP>denotes an alkyl or R<SP>1</SP>] is carried out as follows.
