PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll type compressor that is suitable for use in compressing fuel gas, and a control system for the scroll type compressor. SOLUTION: A fuel gas compression system includes a system operating on direct current, a system operating on alternating current and a system capable of operating on either direct or alternating current. In the system operating on either direct or alternating current, a jumper is set so as to be placed in the circuit when an alternating current is supplied.
