PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lift up elevator apparatus such as a winding machine 22 till a level close to a ceiling 2 of hoistway 1. SOLUTION: A supporting stand 15 and the winding machine 22 attached to the supporting stand 15 are provided on an upper part of a frame of a counterweight 12. Wire rope 31 of a winch 30 attached to a hook 3 of the ceiling 2 is coupled to a hitch portion 14 at a lower part of the counterweight 12, thereby lifting up the winding machine 22 with the counterweight 12. When ascending to a predetermined position, the winding machine 22 is removed from the supporting stand 15 and moved to a machine bed 21 to be fixed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
