<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor which can be simply assembled and which is strong against an impact from an exterior. <P>SOLUTION: An oxygen sensor 1 includes a detecting element 10 including a terminal connecting electrode at a rear end, a main fitment 20 for holding the element; a terminal 60 connected to a lead wire, a first ceramic separator 40 of a single member for housing the terminal at an inside, an inner cylinder 50; and an outer cylinder 30 for housing a rear part of the element disposed at a rear part from the main fitment, the terminal, the ceramic separator, the inner cylinder, the grommet 67 and the like therein. In this sensor, the inner cylinder is fixed to the main fitment side at a position isolated at a predetermined interval so as not to be brought into contact with the inner surface of the inner cylinder, and houses the separator at its inside. The separator includes ribs 43, 44 at its inside and holds the terminal along the ribs, and brings the terminal into contact with the terminal connecting electrode of the element. The terminal is elastically deformable and is electrically connected to the terminal connecting electrode of the element while affecting an elastic force to the element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
