PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a carbon nanotube on a metal surface, wherein the carbon nanotube has excellent bonding to the metal having structural strength and excellent electric conductivity. SOLUTION: The production method of the carbon nanotube comprises forming the carbon nanotube on the surface of a metal. The carbon nanotube is formed through a chemical vapor deposition process by injecting a gas as a source of carbon on a heated metal. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
