PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sun visor for a vehicle having a sun visor main body and a mirror base integrally provided with a hammering sound reducing means. SOLUTION: The sun visor main body 1 for shading glare from a front direction is equipped with a vanity mirror 2 having a mirror base 2a for storing a mirror 4 and a lid 3 for opening/closing to cover the mirror 4 and the hammering sound reducing means 5 for reducing hammering sound generated at the time of closing a lid 3 is integrally provided with the sun visor main body 1 or the vanity mirror 2 at a position where a face 3c for facing the mirror base at an open side of the lid 3 contacts with the mirror base 2a. At the time of closing the lid 3, as hammering sound is reduced because the face 3c for facing the mirror base side in the open side of the lid 3 contacts with the hammering sound reducing means 5, uncomfortable feeling caused by the hammering sound is mitigated and assembly work hours and number of parts are reduced because there is no need of separately providing a stopper, as the hammering sound reducing means 5 is integrally provided with the sun visor main body 1 or the vanity mirror 2.
