PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a throwaway type drill allowing rigid fixing of a cutting head part, while preventing damage. SOLUTION: In this throwaway type drill constituted by detachably fixing on a tool body 2 a cutting head part 5 comprising a cutting edge, a key part 18 protruding radially on the axis over a portion nearer to the outer peripheral face is equipped with either one of the cutting head part 5 or the tool body 2, while a recess 24 engageable with the key part 18 is equipped with the other one. Outer peripheral face of the key part 18 is formed by confronting flat surfaces and confronting circular surfaces. The cutting head part 5 is fixed on the tool body 2 by fastening a plurality of fastening bolts 30, 30 from the direction of the axis with the key part 18 with engaged recess 24.
