摘要 The present invention pertains to the field of piston machines, mainly those that include a mechanism without any connecting rod for converting the reciprocating movement of the pistons into a rotating movement of the output shaft. This invention essentially relates to a piston machine that includes a mechanism without any connecting rod and that comprises the following members: a body (<HIL><PDAT>1</BOLD><PDAT>) with a plurality of cylinders (<HIL><PDAT>2</BOLD><PDAT>); a plurality of pistons (<HIL><PDAT>5</BOLD><PDAT>) with piston rods (<HIL><PDAT>6</BOLD><PDAT>); sliding members (<HIL><PDAT>13</BOLD><PDAT>) formed on the rods (<HIL><PDAT>6</BOLD><PDAT>); a plurality of guides for the sliding members (<HIL><PDAT>13</BOLD><PDAT>), each connected to the body (<HIL><PDAT>1</BOLD><PDAT>) and capable of displacing the corresponding sliding member (<HIL><PDAT>13</BOLD><PDAT>) along the axis of the corresponding cylinder (<HIL><PDAT>2</BOLD><PDAT>); two coaxial cranked shafts (<HIL><PDAT>7</BOLD><PDAT>) mounted in the body (<HIL><PDAT>1</BOLD><PDAT>); and a crankshaft (<HIL><PDAT>10</BOLD><PDAT>) mounted between the cranked shafts (<HIL><PDAT>7</BOLD><PDAT>) and having its main journals (<HIL><PDAT>11</BOLD><PDAT>) connected to said cranked shafts (<HIL><PDAT>7</BOLD><PDAT>) while the rod journals (<HIL><PDAT>12</BOLD><PDAT>) are connected to the corresponding piston rods (<HIL><PDAT>6</BOLD><PDAT>). This machine is characterised in that each guide is made in the form of an annular member (<HIL><PDAT>14</BOLD><PDAT>) comprising guiding surfaces (<HIL><PDAT>15</BOLD><PDAT>). Each annular member (<HIL><PDAT>14</BOLD><PDAT>) is mounted in the body (<HIL><PDAT>1</BOLD><PDAT>) so as to be coaxial relative to the cranked shafts (<HIL><PDAT>7</BOLD><PDAT>) and so as to be capable of rotation about the axes (<HIL><PDAT>16</BOLD><PDAT>) of said cranked shafts (<HIL><PDAT>7</BOLD><PDAT>), and also comprises means for fixing its position relative to the body (<HIL><PDAT>1</BOLD><PDAT>). This structure ensures the automatic adjustment of the sliding member (<HIL><PDAT>13</BOLD><PDAT>) guides into an optimal position relative to the axes of the corresponding cylinders (<HIL><PDAT>2</BOLD><PDAT>) during the engine assembly, which prevents engine seizure.</PTEXT>
