PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishline guide mechanism in a spinning reel, capable of preventing breakage of the fishline caused by a line slack control part. SOLUTION: This fishline guide mechanism in the spinning reel is so structured that the line slack control part 37 having a fishline guide surface 37a and a line slack control surface 37b is mounted on a connection part 33 of a first bail support member 8 so as to be attachable and detachable, wherein the fishline guide surface 37a guides the fishline to a line roller 12 which is arranged so as to be positioned more inward than the other parts. Further, a shortest distance A between the connection part 33 and the line roller 12 in a case that the line slack control part 37 is detached from the connection part 33 is made to be longer than another shortest distance B between the line slack control part 37 and the line roller 12 in another case that the line slack control part 37 is attached to the connection part 33.
