PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the dimension of the depth of a device and to make compact the mechanical configuration of the device. SOLUTION: In the X-ray diagnostic device, a rising/falling lever 10 for changing a height of a top board 1 by carrying up or down an entire pedestal 7 including a top board support 4 for holding the top board 1 and an image intensifier 2 or the like and a tube ball pole 6 for holding an X-ray tube 5 can be made short since it rises and falls only on the lower side of the pedestal 7, and is not largely projected to the deep side of the pedestal. Further, a pedestal rise/fall driving means for avoiding the inclination of the top board 1 with rising/falling of the rising/falling lever 10 is a simplified mechanism making the pedestal 7 rise/fall only by turning a fan-shaped rack 12 on the side of the pedestal by rotating a pinion 13C on the side of the rising/falling lever as well.
