PURPOSE: An LCD and a driving method thereof are provided to remove a flickering phenomenon and improve the picture quality by inverting irregularly the polarity of each pixel. CONSTITUTION: An LCD includes an LCD panel(1), a scan driving portion(2), and a data driving portion(3). The LCD panel(1) is formed with a plurality of gate lines, a plurality of data lines, and a plurality of switching elements. The gate lines and the data lines intersects each other. The switching elements are formed within intersection areas between the gate lines and the data lines. The switching elements are connected to the gate lines and the data lines. The scan driving portion(2) supplies gate voltage to the gate lines. The data driving portion(3) supplies the data voltage corresponding to pixel signals applied to the data lines. The polarity of each pixel is inverted in irregular patterns on the LCD panel(1).
