PURPOSE: A backlight is provided to remove a lamp reflection plate but use a lower surface reflection plate or a fixed structure as the lamp reflection plate, thereby simplifying the structure and reducing the size and weight of the backlight. CONSTITUTION: A backlight includes a fixed structure(44) and a lower surface reflection plate(43). The fixed structure is formed at a lower end of a light guide panel(41) and surrounds an upper part of a side of the light guide panel. The lower surface reflection plate is provided between the light guide panel and the fixed structure and outside a lamp(42) for reflecting the light transmitted to the fixed structure to an LCD panel part and minimize the light loss of the lamp. The fixed structure is formed with protrusions(45) on an inner surface adjacent to edges of the light guide panel to fix the lower reflection plate outside the lamp.
