<p>In washing or desizing woven fabrics, the fluid medium is extracted from the material by suction, using a tubular body fitted with a number of slits. The tubular body is composed of a number of profiled units mounted side by side in a circle and attached to each other by their end flanges. The construction, therefore, forms a hollow and tubular inner zone with radiating branches and end slits as gaps between the free ends of the profiled units for suction to be applied through the body. Rollers are located in the recessed gaps between the branches to support the fabric as it passes round. The fabric is thus subjected to minimum friction abrasion and tension while passing round the suction unit for fluid extraction.</p> |
