PURPOSE:To press the surface of a tube uniformly on a printing edge of a thermal head to improve printing by a method wherein bent parts of the tube can be retracted to the axial sides of the roller in the state that the elastic tube with its axis disposed orthogonally to a rotating shaft of the roller is held between the printing edge and the roller having a curved rotating periphery. CONSTITUTION:The rotating periphery of a roller 21 having nearly a Rugby ball shape is curved so that a part opposed to the longitudinal center of a printing edge 111 is near the edge and parts opposed to the longitudinal sides of the edge 111 are apart from the edge. In this manner, in the state that an elastic tube 100 with its axis disposed orthogonally to a rotating shaft 22 of the roller 21 is held under pressure between the printing edge 111 and the roller 21, bent parts x, x of the tube 100 can be retracted to the axial sides of the roller 21. Therefore, the printing surface of the tube 100 is uniformly pressed on the printing edge of a thermal head to obtain a favorable printing. |
