FIELD: refractory materials. SUBSTANCE: material contains 20- 80% ceramic matrix, 5-40% insulation microspheres, 0.5- 15% binder(s), and up to 5% water. Material further contains deflocculant and colloidal silica (up to 4 and up to 20%). Ceramic matrix contains glasslike granules of sprayed silica. Insulation microspheres are hollow silica and alumina spheres. Material is prepared from ceramic slurry with viscosity no higher than 8 Pa.s. Material is used for coating refractory parts, which are immersed in ceramic slurry for less than 1 min.
