PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosetting composition giving a set product excellent in chemical and physical performances at a relatively low temperature, having good storage stability, and utilizable as a high solid content one pack-type product, and a resin obtained by setting the thermosetting composition. SOLUTION: The thermosetting composition comprises a component A and a component B, where the component A is a poly(thio)ether resin having 500-100,000 molecular weight and containing a repeating unit expressed by formula (1) (wherein R<SP>1</SP>is a residue derived from a bivalent phenolic compound; R<SP>2</SP>is a 1-25C bivalent organic group; and Y is an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom) and the component B is a compound containing two or more reactive functional groups in a molecule capable of forming a chemical bond with a hydroxy group.
