<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor and a retrieval service method for contributing to the realization of a general public search service system for a lost person or a lost article or the like by using a WWW. <P>SOLUTION: Search information is received from a registrant terminal 30 by a Web server 20, and a home page 6 of the image data of an object to be searched included in the search information is made open to the public on the Internet. Provision information associated with the object to be searched is received from third person terminals 31, 32, and 33 and so on, and transferred to the registerer terminal 30.
