For the rapid detection of micro-organisms on a compact disk (CD), the modification of a laser beam is analyzed where it strikes the marked micro-organisms on the CD surface. The micro-organisms have previously been optically modified and gathered on the surface of a CD, which has been specially formatted to show the exact position of micro-organisms detected by the laser beam.
