FIELD: biotechnology, clinical microbiology. SUBSTANCE: medium comprises casein dry pancreatic hydrolyzate as source of nitrogen nutrition of microorganisms; dry extract of fodder yeast as source of vitamins of group B; trisubstituted sodium citrate as solvent of protein components; melted sodium acetate as inhibitor of concomitant gram-negative enterobacteria and coccal microflora and D (+)-glucose, iron and magnesium sulfate heptahydrates, crystal violet, polymyxin M, ammonium citrate, sodium chloride, cysteine and distilled water also. Medium retains basic biological properties of lactobacilli, i. e. it has no the polymorphism of grown colonies as compared with the control Rogosa's medium. The proposed medium doesn't require sterilization and additional conditions for culturing and it shows simple preparing.
