PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of construction of a-tunnel for facilitating mounting of a segment to an erector without damaging a floor surface of the tunnel or blocking up a passage thereof, even if the segment falls from a moving truck or the like, or earth and sand flow into the tunnel. SOLUTION: The tunnel 60 is divided into three stories, and a segment 4 is carried in from a lower space 62 thereof, excavated earth and sand are carried out through an intermediate space 63, and an upper space 64 is used for the passage for workers.
