PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate insertion works into a ground without remarkably increasing a manufacturing cost, and to suck and sample only a desired sample. SOLUTION: In a device for inserting a sampling rod 10 with a sampling tube 12 sucking the sample and an external cylinder member 11 surrounding the sampling tube 12 into the ground, the device has a gripping means 218 being movably disposed in the direction that the gripping means approaches or separates to and from a ground surface, to which the rod 10 must be inserted, and gripping the rod 10 through the external surface of the external cylinder member 11, a vibrating motor 217 vibrating the rod 10 gripped by the gripping means 218 and a hydraulic-cylinder actuator 213 for lifting and lowering urging the rod 10 gripped by the gripping means 218 towards the direction that the rod 10 approaches to the ground surface.
