<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small camera capable of quickly, optimally and simultaneously performing silver film imaging and digital imaging with no cost increase. <P>SOLUTION: In a camera as one embodyment of the present invention, a second brightness measuring means for using a photodetector except an imager to measure brightness performs brightness measurement prior to a photographing operation, and a first brightness measuring means for using the imager to measure brightness performs brightness measurement after setting a drive condition of a first photographing means for using the imager to perform photographing in accordance with the brightness measurement results of the second brightness measuring means at the photographing operation. When exposure is determined as correct exposure on the basis of the brightness measurement results, a second photographing means for using the first photographing means and a silver film to perform photographing performs photographing as it is. When the exposure is not determined as correct exposure, the second brightness measuring means reperforms brightness measurement on the basis of the brightness measurement results of the first brightness measuring means. Then, the first and second photographing means perform photographing after resetting a drive condition of the second photographing means on the basis of the brightness measurement results. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
