PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To modify a hardware section to be modified of a designated particular terminal by software data by remote control. SOLUTION: An interphone system is provided with a controller 1 for performing exchange control of speech communication and a plurality of terminals 2a, 2b,..., 2n for performing speech communication under the exchange control of the controller. Each of the terminals has an address comparing part 33 for recognizing a self-station address in a designated particular terminal in order to modify the hardware section to be modified of the terminal by remote control, a command decoding part 35 for recognizing a modification command, and the hardware section 36 to be modified with modifying data from the command decoding part.
