Dishwasher detergent, which contains builder and optionally other detergent constituents, contains magnesium (Mg) and/or zinc (Zn) salt(s) of monomeric and/or polymeric organic acid(s), excluding Zn ricinoleate, Zn abietate and Zn oxalate. An Independent claim is also included for the use of Mg and Zn salts of organic acids, excluding formic, acetic, gluconic and oxalic acids, as glass corrosion inhibitors.
