The invention relates to a self-adhesive or heat-sealable security diocument, which may be placed on an article, characterised in that the above comprises at least one support which may be printed on the rear face thereof, the front face of said support being treated with a layer of self-adhesive or thermo-sealing glue and at least one marker emitting a signal which is characteristic thereof, such that after sticking said document to the article by means of said layer of glue and on removing said document, at least a part of said marker detaches itself from the support. The invention further relates to a method for authentication of the article. |
