PURPOSE:To easily perform the appropriate dimming of flash by making a set quantity for controlling the stop of the emission of flash light variable and making a time for the stop of the flash earlier in the case of a special image plane having a small exposed range. CONSTITUTION:A dimming control means is provided, which decreases the set quantity as compared with the case of a reference image plane in accordance with switching to the special image plane. Namely, by actuating an image plane switching mechanism, the reference image plane and the special image plane are switched only by making light shielding members 21A and 21B advance to and retreat from a photographing optical path while a photographing optical system for exposing the film part of the reference image plane is kept as it is. In a state where the special image plane appears, the light shielding members 21A and 21B protrude the photographing optical path and the exposed range on the film becomes smaller than the reference image plane, then reflected light quantity per unit time from the film at the time of emitting flash light is reduced. Therefore, the timing for stopping the emission of the flash light is made earlier by making the set quantity for controlling the stop of the emission of the flash light smaller than the case of the reference image plane. Thus, the dimming is performed by coping with the deflection of the size of the photographing image plane with simple constitution. |
