PURPOSE:To obtain a steel plate excellent in corrosion resistance and wear resistance and improved in the degree of flatness by rubbing and coating the surface of a steel plate with a metallic powder placed on the steel sheet surface by the use of a roll and then heating and hot-rolling the above steel plate. CONSTITUTION:For example, a metallic powder mixture consisting of one or >=2 kinds among Zn, Sn, and Ni self-fluxing alloys, etc., or a metallic powder in which ceramic particles are mixed and which has a melting point equal to or lower than that of a steel plate is disposed on the surface of the steel plate. Proper grain size of the above metallic powder is 0.01-500mu. Subsequently, the above steel plate where the metallic powder is disposed on the surface is pressed down by means of a roll, and this roll is rotated at a differential speed higher or lower than the moving speed of the steel plate in the same or reverse direction as or the moving direction of the steel plate. After the surface of the steel plate is coated with the metallic powder by the above procedure, the steel plate is subjected to heating, e.g. at 400-1100 deg.C for 20-150min and then to hot rolling. Although rolling reduction ratio in this hot rolling differs according to the purpose, a rolling reduction ratio of 2-5 times is suited. By the above hot rolling, the steel plate having the above characteristics can be obtained. |
