Tracking solar concentrator system for generation of electricity

The solar concentrator consists of a group of platforms with a tracking system of motor driven guide wheels (30), the torque being transferred to outer rings (22) of the platforms. Footbridges (34) for maintenance run above the guide wheels (30), and below each platform (20) there is a shallow body of water on which it floats. Waste heat of the photovoltaic cells is conducted into this water layer which is cooled by exposure to the environment An independent claim is included for a two axis solar electrical generator.
