A rubber mixture containing a silicoorganic compound, halogen, straight chain or branched alkyl and alkoxy groups, optional branched and optionally unsaturated hydrocarbons, and a shielding reagent is new. A rubber mixture containing a silicoorganic compound of formula (I), a shielding agent selected from compounds of formula (II) and polysiloxanes. (I) R1R2R3Si-R4-S-Zn-S-R4-SiR1R2R3 (II) R5R6R7Si-R8 R1-R3 = H, halogen, straight chain or branched alkyl, straight chain or branched alkoxy; R4 = straight chain or branched, optionally unsaturated divalent hydrocarbon; R5-R7 = H, halogen, straight chain or branched alkyl, straight chain or branched alkoxy; and R8 = straight chain or branched 1-18C alkyl. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a process for preparation of rubber mixtures by mixing a rubber, filler, at least one silicoorganic compound of formula (I), a shielding reagent, and optionally other rubber adjuvants; (2) an organosilane mixture containing silicoorganic compounds of formula (I), R1-R4 = as above, a shielding reagent selected from compounds of formula (II), and polysiloxanes, where R5-R7, and R8 = as above; (3) a shaped body obtainable by vulcanization of the rubber mixture.
