PURPOSE: A thin fingerprint recognition device using a contact luminous element and a TFT fingerprint input device is provided to accord an actual incidence area with a valid sensing area. CONSTITUTION: A thin transparent electrode layer(1e) is deposited on a transparent substrate(1f) directly. A luminescence layer(1d) generates an optical image on the transparent electrode layer(1e). A shading layer(1c) is deposited on the upper portion of the luminescence layer(1d). A dielectric layer(1b) is deposited on the upper portion of the shading layer(1c). A water repellent layer(1a) is deposited on the upper portion of the dielectric layer(1b). If an AC power is applied to the transparent electrode layer(1e) and a ground frame(4) and a fingerprint is contacted with a surface of the contact luminous element(1) and the ground frame(4) simultaneously, an optical image of the fingerprint is created by the contact luminous element(1). In addition, the optical image is transmitted to a photosensitive layer(9c) of a TFT fingerprint input device(5) directly, and the fingerprint is inputted. The contact luminous element(1) is applied on the upper surface of the TFT fingerprint input device(5) uniformly using a spray method of epoxy or a screen printing method, and an adhesive layer is formed.
