A smoke alarm holder 5 is provided with slots which interengage with projections 4 on the smoke alarm 3. A fork like tool 6 is provided with slotted prongs 7 capable of engaging with the tabs 4 to lift the smoke alarm into position and lock in place with a small turn of the tool 6. This process may be reversed to remove the smoke alarm 3 from the holder 5. The arrangement enables the battery to be changed without the use of a step ladder or chair. |
