APPARATUS FOR COOLING RIM IN THE PROCESS OF THERMAL STRENGTHENING OF RAIL WHEEL

FIELD: rail wheel cooling equipment. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has sprayer positioned between supporting rollers and made composite and combined, of double-plane action. Sprayer has two L-shaped parts with horizontal strips oriented in direction opposed to that of vertical strips. Vertical strips of combined sprayers are positioned at an angle of 75-85 deg relative to horizontal strips. Two other sprayers positioned at other side of supporting rollers are made of single-plane action. EFFECT: increased efficiency by improved strength characteristics of wheel rims and reduced level of tensile residual stress.
