PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine of which the productivity is excellent. SOLUTION: A member 36 to be attached has a vertical surface part which is approximately perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, an upper surface part 62 which protrudes forward and extends from the upper end of the vertical surface part, two side surface parts 64 and 66 which are approximately perpendicular to the vertical surface part, and protrude forward and extend from the side end of the vertical surface part, and a connecting part 68 which connects the two side surface parts 64 and 66 on the opposite side being away from the vertical surface part. The member 36 to be attached is fitted with all mechanisms of a needlebar-driving mechanism 40, a thread take-up lever- driving mechanism 44, and a thread-winding mechanism 48, and a rotating shaft member 124 and a supporting shaft member 142 extend from the right and left sides.
