GLASS AGGREGATE AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide glass aggregate which is harmless to mortal or concrete and its manufacturing method in order to establish mass utilization technique of waste glass. SOLUTION: Alkali-containing glass in which total contents of Na2O and K2O from a surface to 3μm depth is≤5 wt.% and which is formed to a shape suitable for aggregate is used as glass aggregate. Its manufacturing method has a process in which alkali-containing glass cullet is brought into contact with gaseous hydrogen chloride to remove alkalinity therefrom. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
