PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piston for use in a center valve type vehicular hydraulic master cylinder, eliminating the occurrence of a hot water boundary during molding to secure the axial rigidity of the piston, enabling easy positioning of an insert component to a cavity and accurate centering between a piston body and the insert component when constructing the piston with the piston body and the insert component connected to each other, improving the binding force of the piston body on the insert component, and having further improved axial rigidity. SOLUTION: The piston 30 is constructed with the piston body 31 and the insert component 32. The insert component 32 is provided with a disc 32a as an inside contour of one end 34a of a guide hole 34, a small round hole 38 as part of a valve storage portion 35 and L-shaped positioning leg members 32b, 32b. During molding the piston body 31, the insert component 32 is molded integrally therewith to form the piston 30 with the disc 32a as the inside contour of one end 34a of the guide hole 34.
