<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording sheet for full color record which is excellent in ink absorbency, has a high printing density and a moderate gloss, and is also excellent in color and image reproducibility in respect to both dye ink and pigment ink, in printing by an ink jet recorder. <P>SOLUTION: In the ink jet recording sheet provided with an ink receiving layer on the surface of a substrate, a gloss developing layer mainly composed of an inorganic fine particle is provided as the uppermost layer of the recording sheet, and also the ink receiving layer composed of at least two layers of synthetic amorphous silica are formed beneath the gloss developing layer. The synthetic amorphous silica is disposed so as to reduce its average particle size sequentially from the lower layer of the ink receiving layers toward the upper layer thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
