PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video scope that conducts the proper signal processing of a processor to be connected. SOLUTION: A model of a processor 10 and the setting-up data (the setting-up data to be registered) as to its signal processing to be prepared for each version number are stored in EEPROM 57 contained in the video scope 50. The video scope 50 is then connected with the processor 10 before the model of the processor 10 and the version number are detected. The corresponding setting-up data are read out from the EEPROM 57 and written in the register 55A of a signal processing circuit 55. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
