<p>PURPOSE:To provide a communication service for subscribers at low cost and to smooth the input traffic of a communication network. CONSTITUTION:Nodes 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 periodically monitor the availability rate of output lines 21, 22, 23, 24 and 25, update a communication charge corresponding to the availability rate and store it inside the nodes. The node 2 periodically sends communication charge informing cells to a using communication channel constituted of a communication channel 22, the node 3, the communication channel 21 and the node 1 and a reserve communication channel constituted of the communication channel 25, the node 5, the communication channel 24, the node 4, the communication channel 23 and the node 1. The nodes 1, 3, 4 and 5 which received the communication charge informing cell write the communication charge at the point of the time of reception inside the cell and send it to the next node or a subscriber's communication equipment. The subscriber's communication equipment 6 which received the communication charge informing cell selects the inexpensive communication channel between the using and reserve communication channels and switches communication.</p> |
