PURPOSE: A method for controlling the oversupply of water for a dish washer is provided to prevent the overflow of water by automatically detecting the oversupply of the water and draining the water. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling the oversupply of water for a dish washer comprises the steps of: measuring the water level, and detecting the oversupply of water(21); displaying the state of oversupply on a display unit(22); and draining water below a predetermined water level(23).
